Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope

The Alameda County Food Bank is committed to meeting the needs of those in our local community. The Food Bank’s goal is to ensure that every child, adult or senior in Alameda county does not have to worry about their next meal.

In 2015, the Food Bank was able to distribute a remarkable 25 million meals and those meals consisted of fresh fruits and vegetables to help in providing a nourished meal to those in need. With the assistance of a network of 240 agencies, the Food Bank is able to distribute about 540,000 meals weekly to alleviate hunger in our community. The Food Bank also works with soup kitchens, child-care centers, senior centers and after-school programs.
